Eating Out At Trevine

We aren’t going to pretend that you aren’t spoilt for choice when staying at Trevine, we are surrounded by everything from fine dining to fantastic fish and chips and don’t get me started on the cake! Here’s a few of our favourites mixed with some of our guests favourites. You’ll be sure to find something lovely!

Something Fancy

Rick Steins

The seafood restaurant is still popular and worth a visit if you love Rick, there’s also the option of the bistro and cafe for a more relaxed and less expensive experience

Paul Ainsworth

Winner of Masterchef and generally all round nice guy, Paul has an incredible restaurant tucked away in the back streets of Padstow. If Michellin Star is your thing then you need to book ahead and don’t miss this experience. No 6

Prawn on the Lawn

These guys have an impressive reputation. We have been to Prawn on the Farm which they set up during lockdown and it was great fun, delicious and pricey. The idea of Prawn on the Lawn is fish tapas, lots of fresh ingredients, very small cafe style dining

A Good Meal

Well this list could be endless but I’ll go for a quick list of all the main closest ones.

St Issey
Ring O Bells, 50 yards up the road, very Cornish pub, big hearty meals and reasonable prices.

Pickwick Inn, probably should be on the fancy list but being just up the road its local. Incredible views over the estuary, normally very good food, very popular with visitors but still has the local touch.

Padstow
The Golden Lion, proper Padstow Pub, good food, very local.

Rojanos, an opportunity to taste the perfection of Paul Ainsworth in an Italian style, friendly restaurant. we love the starters and the puddings best!

Wadebridge
Stepping Stone. Best food and best value in Wadebridge, you will need to book as the most popular place with locals and visitors alike.

A Tasty Treat

Padstow
Cherry Tree. Now this place comes under lunch and treats, best place for cake, ever. They now have two cafes, one on the front in Padstow and one just around the corner, no website- they don’t need one!

The Cough
They make an award winning pasty but they aren’t our favourite, but if you are a connoisseur you should try as these have a little added clotted cream!

Ice Cream, our favourite is Trelevens which you’ll find in a fudge shop just off the harbour.

Wadebridge
Barnicutts. These are our favourite pasties, let us know what you think!

Farm Shop
Padstow Farm Shop is the closest and probably most authentic with alot of the veg hand grown and picked on site along with the rearing of the lambs and cows.

This isn’t by any means your entire list, feel free to quiz us on anything you’d like specifically. There’s also the option of hopping on a ferry over to rock from Padstow and experiencing The Mariners, a Paul Ainsworth pub, a take away from Four Boys or one of the other eateries.

Travel further afield and you’ll also find Nathan Outlaw has a couple of places, one at St Enodoc golf course ( this is beautiful and worth a round if golf is your thing) and the Pilchard at Port Issac that my sister insists is amazing (I’ve not been yet!)
